Children What to Expect
Dear Parents,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting Valley Baptist Church’s website.
We believe that children are a blessing from the Lord (Ps. 127:3-5).
Ultimately, we believe it is the parent’s responsibility to raise and disciple their children (Deut. 6:4-9).
In order to help you in this journey, Valley Baptist Church has a few options for children during our worship services:
1) The first option is the main sanctuary. Children are always welcome to worship with their parent(s)
or guardian(s) in the main sanctuary. Please do not feel bad if you need to leave and return during the
worship service for the purpose of quieting down or instructing your child.
2) The second option is to listen to the message from a remote location. The message can be heard in the foyer and kitchen.
There is a live video feed in the nursery if you have a restless infant or toddler.
3) During the 10:30 worship service there are Bible studies for children between the ages of 2-12.
All children start in the sanctuary for worship and are dismissed after the announcements.
- Children aged 2-6. The children are taught a Bible story and have craft time related to the teaching.
- Children aged 7-12. The children have a Bible study that corresponds with the text Pastor Gunnar is teaching on. The aim of this study is to teach the children the Bible and to train them to worship with adults in the main service.
